Rocket Italian Review

I have been bugged by the desire to learn Italian for a long time, and about six months ago I decided to step out of my comfort zone and start to learn a language which is completely new to me.

MegaVocabTM has a bank of 2000 words and pictures, but it has a feature that allows you to add more words with corresponding picture as you progress. Who say learning have to be harder as we get older?

As my vocabulary built up, I moved on to the next part of Rocket Italian TM course, which runs on a software called MegaAudioTM, which taught me how to construct sentences out of vocabularies that I have learned. This part of the course is full of exercises that helped me to recognize spoken words in conversations. Basically, it works by playing an audio clip of a conversation in Italian, and my task is to select pictures corresponding to the words I heard, and at the end of the exercise there is a score to let me know how I did. I personally find this fun to do, but most importantly it enables me to not only blindly learn vocabularies, but also to understand them in context when it is spoken.

I am currently quite proficient in speaking Italian, but Rocket Italian TM course doesn’t end here, I get to progress into more advance level without having to buy additional modules, what a great value to my money spent.
